Well, I've been quite busy lately. I had been taking online classes to become a medical transcriptionist before Luke was born, but after he was born, I kind of got sidetracked. So, I've started back with that and have been trying really hard to do as much as I can. So, any free time I have, I try to work on it. I use to have a good 2 hrs. to work on it because Luke would take his nap at the same time as Wesley. Well, now he has decided to switch his nap around and most of the time, I cannot get him to go down at the same time as Wesley. Luke is still not sleeping through the night yet either, so when he does, I plan to get up early enough so I can work on it then. I gotta have my sleep to be functioning:)
We were going to go to St. simons last week for our ministerial team retreat, but my mom ended up having to have a partial hip replacement and we decided not to go. She had her surgery Monday and is doing well, just going through alot of physical therapy right now. Hopefully, we will be able to go on some kind of a vacation this year. This is one reason why I'm taking medical transcription classes so we will be able to do things like this because just living on a pastor's salary is very hard. Unless your a pastor of a HUGE church, which we are not. Here are a few new pics.
Luke sitting on the couch. I can't believe he is 6 months old!
Wesley was not very amused about taking this picture, as you can see. It was right before Mark was going to take him outside so he was ready to go!

Little Mr. Mischevious
I just had to post about this. Tonight, Wesley went to his potty as he does every night now before he goes to bed. Well, when he finished, he said he had to go again. So, he sat down and also said he wanted some water. So, Mark brought him his cup of water. I went in there to check on him and saw him trying to pour the water in the potty! There have actually been about 2 times when I have given him his water before and he said he went pee pee and I looked and noticed that it wasn't yellow(sorry if that's tmi).Anyway, I tried to explain to him that if that's what he was doing then that was wrong to let mommy think that it was pee pee, and that it's wrong to lie. Part of it was also probably because he was just curious, and that he might have not really known what he was doing.

Update
Wesley is getting good about going to the potty now every night before bedtime and then before his naptime. He still is not too keen about going during the day but hopefully, he will eventually get there. I'm not going to push him too much but let him do it at his own time.
Luke is doing good and is such a good baby. He's been a little more fussy than normal lately though, I think he's teething. He still sleeps in our room at night and am I planning on moving him to his room the second week in March. The reason for that is that we are going to St. Simons the first week in March and if I moved him to his room now, then we go away and come back, he would be even more messed up with his schedule. Here are some recent pics of the boys.

I thought this was a neat picture. Wesley is laying in the bathtub filled with bubbles.

Slowly but surely
Tonight, as I was getting Wesley's pajamas on him, I asked him if he had to go potty. I told him I would read him one of his favorite books to him while he sits on the potty, "Morris the Moose goes to school." Usually when I tell him that he'll go, "no,no." Well, tonight, he wanted to so, I read to him for like 15 minutes. He kept saying, "I'm about to pee pee" but never did. Then, he wanted to read CARS. So I went and got it and told Mark, for us to leave him alone for a little bit to see if he wanted some privacy. Well, right when we walked away he said, "mommy,I pee peed," and sure enough he did. After I got his pajamas & diaper all back on him again, he said he has to go pee pee again. I thought he might just be trying to delay his bedtime but we let him try again and immediately he did it again. So, hopefully this is good progress and will continue.

The only picture I have been able to get of luke smiling. Of course, he has carrots all over his mouth. It's still cute.

Sick Baby
We took Luke to the doctor yesterday because he was up all night Sunday night crying. It all started with just a runny nose which I assumed at first was just allergies because Wesley has the same thing right now. Well, he then started to have a lot of congestion in his chest and started coughing alot. He was pitiful and I felt so sorry for him. Anyway, we found out he has an ear infection, so we have him on an antibiotic and a decongestant. I was just concerned because Wesley didn't get sick until he was a year old. I guess I just have to realize that they are two completely different little people and things will happen to them differently. He still has alot of congestion in his chest. Hopefully ,this medicine will help.
Oh, some of you may already know about this website, but I found this website, www.starfall.com, that helps preschool aged children, even younger, learn how to read. It uses phonics and is great. Just thought I'de recommend it. Also, we like to go to fisherprice.com, and play their online games. They have alot of educational stuff too. Just go to fun & family time and then go to fun & games online.
