It's a boy

We found out today that it's a boy. We are happy and excited and now Wesley will have a playmate, & we can use Wesley's old clothes and toys. Now we have to decide on a name b/c we want to start calling him by his name so Wesley can get use to it. He weighed 12oz. and everything looked good. I am just thankful to the Lord that everything looked good.

Big Boy Bed!

Well, Wesley has slept in his big boy bed for 5 nights now. The first night, he didn't sleep in it. He kept getting out and at that time, we still had his crib in there too just in case. We told him if he kept getting out he would sleep in his baby crib. It was now about 9 to 9:30 which is late for him. So, we ended up putting him in his crib and he went right to sleep after about 3 minutes of crying. The next night he slept in it with no problems and has ever since. We took the crib out and it is in pieces right now b/c we couldn't get it through the door without doing that. He even locked himself in his room and I couldn't figure out how to unlock it, which I have done before, so Mark had to come home and unlock it.

Sunday night we had a baptism down at a creek. I guess it was a creek and not a river. Anyway, 2 kids got baptized. It was Wesley's first time seeing that even though most of the time he just wanted to throw rocks in the water. But, he did watch his daddy baptize them and was probably wondering what he was doing.

My apt. is friday when we find out if its a boy or a girl. I will post when I found out. I already feel huge. I can't imagine getting bigger. They say you show earlier your 2nd time and I think I am. I'm halfway there at almost 20 weeks.

Happy 2nd b-day Wesley!

We had a birthday party for Wesley on saturday the 12th. His b-day was actually the 13th. I can't believe he's 2. My mom and dad and Mark's mom and dad were here. It was a good day, although it was rainy. He didn't take a nap on saturday but made up for it later. It was a "Thomas" theme. We had a thomas cake. I wanted to make it but decided it would be easier to buy a thomas cake from wal-mart.
Some other big news is that we are about to switch Wesley to a big boy bed. He has a convertible crib but we decided to let the new baby use the crib and get wesley another bed. We looked into toddler beds, which they have very many cute ones, but decided on a twin bed and put side railings up. He'll be able to use it longer. Mark's parent's have 2 that him and his brother slept in when they were younger. So, we got one of those and are going to paint it. I'll post pictures of his new big boy room once we're finished. We're going to have to move the computer into our room now b/c the now computer room will be the baby's room.
Wesley had his 2 year checkup yesterday. He kept saying "doctor, doctor" for like hrs. before and after is apt. and saying "ear (for the doctor looking in his mouth),boop, boop (for heartbeat),and ahhh(for the doctor looking in his mouth.) There's this story on the sesame street website I read to him about elmo going to the doctor and I think that is where he gets alot of that from. They had to prick his finger and check his hemoglobin and lead level which was worse than his shot b/c he hates being held down. We had to hold him down for that for 4 or 5 minutes. Then, he does not like bandaids, so he takes them off and blood gets everywhere. But, thank the lord he's fine, other than a runny nose right now, due to lovely allergies down here in south georgia. Oh, he weighed 29lbs. and was 35inches. He seems to be growing in height fast and gaining slowly now, which is normal. I remember when he was gaining weight fast.
Some of these pictures are of a dead tree in our front yard that we had to cut down. My mom and dad were there that day.

Daniel, Megan, & Violet

While we were visiting Daniel and Megan, I hardly took any pictures. I was so mad at myself when we left. I guess I was just too preoccupied with Violet. So I was sent this picture of them on Easter Sunday morning.

Trip to Tennessee

I have been having trouble posting pictures and have tried to post right when we got back from tn., but couldn't. Well, we left to go to Mark's parents' in east tennessee on easter sunday after church. We got there Sunday evening and they had an egg hunt for Wesley in the backyard. It was cold! Especially compared to coming from 70 degree weather. Wesley is starting to get the hang of egg hunting now, even though he wouldn't hold the basket. It snowed a little monday morning and stuck a little to the ground. So that was the first snow that wesley saw, and probably his last so long as we live in south georgia. He kept saying "sno" over and over again. The high that day by the way was in the 30's and I didn't come much prepared for that so we stayed in most of the time. He doesn't get to see pops and nana much so he enjoyed it and we had to unspoil him when we got home.

Then we we drove to Murfreesboro, Tn on Tuesday to see my brother Daniel, my sister-in-law Megan, and baby Violet. On the way we were able to stop along the interstate and meet one of my friends from Trevecca whom I hadn't seen since her wedding, in 2002, and her little girl, April. It was good to see them. Violet is sweet and we got to see her smile. Wesley didn't really know what to think of her. He did not like, however, whenever Mark or myself was holding Violet. I tried to hold Violet and Wesley at the same time but he would not have it. He didn't mind her when she was in her crib or something. Whenever she cried he pretended like he was crying too. Everytime we talk about baby Violet he puts his finger to his mouth and goes "shhh." I know it will probably take a while for him to get use to his new baby brother or sister but eventually, I believe he will. Then, we came back home on Thursday and met my parents at the Cracker Barrell in Perry, Ga. to eat. It was a long trip but worth it.

I had my doctor's apt. last friday and we are suppose to find out if its a boy or a girl on the 25th. I don't care either way. I actually would kind of want another boy but kind of have a feeling it might be a girl. Probably just b/c we already have a boy. We'll see and I will post as soon as I find out. I will post some more pictures if I can of our trip b/c of how our computer is messing up later.
