One more picture

For some reason, this picture was dark and you couldn't see it, so I had to go through Picasa, where we store all our pics at to post it. This is just of the curtains and Wesley standing on his Thomas couch. He loves getting on it and flipping onto his bed.

Potty Training 101

Wesley peed in his toilet for the first time last night before he went to bed! So I gave him an m&m. Mark and I were pretty excited and kept going on and on about it last night. Wesley was probably thinking "what's all the fuss about?" I think he actually didn't mean to pee b/c he hasn't done it again today. He now does not like having his diaper wet at all, unless he's real busy or preoccupied with something, then he forgets. He always tells me right after he goes in his diaper. If only he could tell me before he has to go. We'll see what happens.

I'm almost 28 weeks now and my next doctor's apt. is Friday. It's the loooong one where I have to drink the nasty stuff and get my glucose levels checked. I think I'll then start seeing them like every 2 or 3 weeks. I forgot when I started doing that with Wesley. Three months seems a long time away. I had Wesley 5 days before my due date so hopefully, this one might be sooner, but of course, not too soon. I think the baby has gone through a growth spurt just this week b/c his movements are more confined now. He use to be doing somersaults, but not now. Wesley weighed 7lb. 11oz., and they say your 2nd is usually bigger. I'm guessing he might weigh 8lbs. something, hopefully, no bigger than that.

I got out an old baby doll of mine that has been packed away (its the kind that looks real).I've been pretending like I'm holding it and rocking it in front of Wesley. Every time I rock and sing to it, after I'm finished, he pats his chest and says "wesee," wanting me to rock him and sing to him too. So, I do. He holds it and "burps" it and then throws it on the floor. We're definitely going to have to work on that.

This is at some friend's house from church. This is Kayla, Hannah, and Wesley making a funny face.
This is of Wesley at the sprinklers in downtown. I have to take him down there in the mornings b/c the afternoons are very busy with crazy kids running wild. Even this day, an older boy knocked Wesley down and he has scrapes on his side. You wonder, where are the parents?
Here's Wesley's new room. That's the bed that use to be Mark's, or uncle Michael's(mark's brother). It was blue but we painted it red. I still want to get a bed skirt for the bed. The bedding didn't come with one. I would also like to get some letters and spell Wesley's name on the wall.
This is the armoire that also use to be Mark's that Mark's mom and dad made. It was wood and Mark painted it. Didn't he do a good job?

Too hot!

I have come to realize how true it is that everyone use to tell me, before it actually got hot, that I would have to endure the summer being pregnant. I thought, no, that won't be me b/c I have always been a cold-natured person. But, not now. I can hardly stand being outside for more than 10 to 20 minutes during the day. It makes it hard b/c Wesley always wants to go outside. He couldn't care less how hot it is. I've actually thought about waking him up like at 6 in the morning to let him go out but I don't think I will. Hopefully, it will go by fast.

Well, we got back from the District Assembly Friday and we were all pretty tired. Wesley didn't go to bed until about 10 or 10:30 every night, so he lost alot of sleep. But, Wesley enjoyed being with Pa. We put him in the nursery they had there and he did good to start with but then, the last day, as we were just walking down the hall to the nursery he was crying not wanting to go. So, we didn't take him and Pa watched him most of the time. He went swimming once in the hotel pool. He loved it! We put his floaties on his arms. He would run and jump to Mark. I was pretty nervous b/c I kept imagining him slipping and falling and hitting his head. I always wanted an inground pool but I'm glad we don't have one now.

Yesterday, we went to Warner Robins for my niece's,Violet, dedication at church. Everything went well, and Violet has grown alot since we last saw her. She's almost 3months old. Wesley, of course, didn't take a nap until about 5 when we left to go back home, and then it was only 30 minutes. He has always been the type that he doesn't want to miss anything. He was like that even when he was a baby. I wonder if his brother will be the same way?

Here's Wesley at Kayla's(a girl from our church) high school graduation. He wore this hat the whole time. He has just gotten to where he will wear a hat. I'm glad b/c I love it when he wears one.
Here's Violet in her carrier. You can't tell from the picture but her outfit made her look like a ballerina.

Me holding Violet while she's sleeping. I joked with Megan's dad that I could almost just prop Violet up on my belly and she would stay:)
