Mark ringing the salvation army bell with Luke.

Luke was so tired this day and he fell asleep on the chair. This is when he had an ear infection.

Halloween

We had fun trick-or treating and handing out candy at home. I think Wesley enjoys handing out candy more than trick or treating. He was sitting on the front porch yelling "COME TO MY HOUSE" and would get upset when someone was way down the street and wouldn't. Luke is still a little young to enjoy everything but he had fun too. It worked out with it being the time change because I needed to keep them up a little later anyway.

Me & Luke. We tried to take Wesley's picture but of course, he didn't want to but was all for taking some outside.

Before leaving for church. The shadow of the head in the picture is of Mark trying to keep the sun out of their eyes.

Riding the train or "pumpkin express" with daddy at the mall. I could not get a good picture of them riding this because Wesley kept lookin at other things.

Wesley with a "cat face" that he got at the fall festival at church. This was the first time he ever had his face painted. He was never really interested in it before but was determined he wanted it done this time. Of course, he decided this when everybody was starting to leave and it was getting dark.

Luke in his tie. He was sleepy in this picture and wasn't too happy.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch today and the weather was perfect for it! Beautiful day! We even enjoyed some boiled peanuts and so did the boys.

Fair

We went to the fair on Friday with my mom & dad and had a great time. It turned really cold in the evening. Wesley had a blast and Luke did too. Luke didn't cry or fuss once because he was so enthralled by everything. Here are some pics. Wesley loved this car ride and he also loved the bumper cars. He rode with my dad and Mark and them had a time bumping into each other. They road 3 different times.

Wesley on his favorite car ride. This ride went really fast around the curve and at first he didn't like it but then, this was the only one he wanted to ride, besides the bumper cars.

Mark and Luke on the old tractors. This was one thing that Luke was not happy about was when we took him off the tractors. He loved making car noises and turning the steering wheel.

I think they could have done this the whole time and been satisfied. This was in one of the buildings there. They had 2 thomas train tables.

In the nursery at church.

Making a funny face.

At the Braves game. Pops,Nana,Uncle Michael,Me,Mark, and Wesley.

My dad watched Luke for us when we went to the game. It would have been really hard to take him with us as he would not have wanted to stay still for a minute. Well, on the way back home, we picked him up in Warner Robins. We were just going to meet him out at the interstate so we didn't have to drive all the way into town, but my dad called and said he was having some trouble with the van and needed us to meet him at toys r us. To make a long story short, the van's alternator blew. Mark jumped him off just to see if it worked, and it did for a few feet. So, we were going to try to get him home so he wouldn't have to worry about it later. Well, he ended up jumping him off 3 different times total, on the side of the road. Finally he just left it in the parking lot and we took him home, all the while the boys were sleeping the whole time. The funny thing about this is about a month or so earlier, we were on our way back from TN when we ran out of gas. It would have taken longer for our insurance people to get there than it would have for my dad, so he & my mom drove about an hour to come save us. I guess this was kind of a "repayment" for helping us. Thanks dad.

Cute Sayings

Just thought I'de post about some cute things Wesley is saying. Since Luke's b-day party, every night when we pray, Wesley prays and says, "thank you Jesus for baby Luke's presents and b-day cake amen." Cute. Wesley has been getting up at about 6 every morning. Sometimes even 5:30. I ask him why is he getting up so early. Sometimes he says he's scared of the shadows and sometimes he says he's hungry. We may just have to start doing away with his naptime and let him have quiet time instead and see if that helps. He may just be getting too big for naps now. We put him down at about 8 and he lays there for about an hour or so until he goes to sleep. I should have known that when Luke starts taking a nap at the same time Wesley does, now Wesley doesn't need one.

Another thing Wesley said was I was reading to him in the bible about how Jesus was baptized and he kept saying "I want to go baptized." I think he was kind of getting it confused with swimming. I told him when he gets a little older and after he has asked Jesus into his heart, then he can. He also wanted me to read one of his books about Easter the other night and I was talking to him how Jesus went up on a cloud up into heaven. Wesley then said, "I don't ever want to go to heaven." I told him yes he does and he said, "no I don't." I just left it at that.

Luke got these squeaky shoes for his b-day from "uncle daniel and aunt meggie." I wish I could get him on video walking so I could post it on here. Maybe I'll figure out how to do that one day. Today at church Luke did not want to stay in the nursery. He is starting to go through that "separation anxiety" phase. Even though now that can be aggravating at times, I know I'll look back and think that he just wanted me. They grow up so stinking fast. These are precious times that I'll never forget and always cherish.
