Week Review

Wesley had his haircut on tuesday which turned out to be almost a complete disaster. Mark was having his haircut at the same time while Wesley was sitting in my lap and I was holding him down with all the strengh a pregnant woman can have:) It was like he was having surgery without anesthesia or like he was being tortured.(Maybe I exaggerated a little bit, but that's how I felt at the time). We tried everything. I brought his favorite toys, brought a lollipop, his cup, everything, and nothing worked. It probably wasn't the best haircut but the lady still did a good job. She was probably ready to quit after that. Bless her poor heart. I don't know what we're going to do next time. He might just have to have hair like a rocker by the next haircut. I've thought about getting one of those wahl at home haircutting sets. I know it would save us money in the long run, but if it would work, I don't know. Maybe I should give him some benadryl next time or something. Just kidding:)

We then had our picture taken for our church directory by olan mills. We went ahead and had Wesley's 2 yr. pictures taken then too. He did pretty good smiling and staying still. I was proud of him. It was talking with the consult man that didn't go so well. He kept trying to sell us $300 & $400 packages. Finally, after like an hour in there, we got the cheapest package. I don't think i'll every go there again, even though their quality is good. We have yet to find a good photography place. Where do yall go to get your kids pictures taken?

Well, the baby has been moving around alot lately. Mark has felt him kick or punch, whatever it is he's doing, several times now. I am getting more anxious about seeing him and just trying to remember what is was like to have a newborn. Mark has been doing alot of painting trying to finish up Wesley's room and the baby's room. If we ever have 3 kids, we will either have to move or be extremely crowded. I wish we had a playroom just for toys. That would be great, but hey, we are blessed to be able to have a nice home. I know some families who don't have that.

We will be going out of town next week for a few days. Every year, our church district has a district assembly and its that time of year. Hopefully, we'll be able to have a little fun and go swimming in the hotel pool:) I'll leave with a few pictures. Have a good week!

This is of Wesley in a lion costume a lady from our church found at at garage sell. He use to not like to have it on but now he wants to. He loves going around the house growling. It's a 4T!

24 weeks!

I had my 24 week doctor's apt. today. Everything went well. We listened to the heartbeat and it was 154 bpm. At my next apt., i'll have to drink that nasty stuff to check my sugar levels, I think, and then get some blood drawn to check my antibodies, b/c I'm rh negative. Then, I'll have to get the rhogam shot. I got that with Wesley. We were there for about an hour and a half and saw the doctor for less than 5 minutes. This was the first time I had seen this doctor. The thing was, they rescheduled my apt, which was in the morning to the afternoon b/c my doctor wasn't going to be in until this afternoon. Then I get there and see another doctor. I was a little aggravated by that. Morning apt's always go faster which is why I schedule them then. Well,I haven't had many questions for the doctor this time. I guess I think I know it all:) Yeah right. We still haven't decided on a name yet. Might not until he's born. We just hope and pray that he will be healthy, that's all that matters.

Mark and I are going with our Sunday School class tomorrow to see the second movie in the chronicles of narnia series. Some friends from church are watching Wesley. He always does real well now when people watch him. He use to cry when he saw us leave but now, he actually can watch us leave and wave bye. He's growing up so fast. Well, I'll go for now. Hope ya'll have a good weekend!

Ma's house

We went to Ma's house(my grandma), who's 87, last friday and spent the night one night and left Saturday. She lives in Columbus, Ga, which is only about an hour and a half away. We've been wanting to see her for a while now and figured this would be a good time to go, mother's day weekend. We enjoyed the short time we had with her and so did Wesley. Here are some pictures of when we were there.

This is of Wesley painting a picture for ma the day before we left. He is making his "surprised" face.

This is ma swinging Wesley in her front yard.

Name decision

I thought it was time for another update. Everything is going pretty good here. We are having a hard time deciding on names. I really wanted to decide now so we could be calling him by it to get Wesley use to it. But, I don't know if that's going to happen. Some names we are considering are Luke, Isaac, Elijah, (we had considered Jonah but mark doesn't like that too well), & Josiah. For the middle name we are considering stewart b/c that's mark's grandpa's middle name. He has cancer right now and may not live much longer and we wanted to use his name b/c he is a great, wonderful, godly man. So, let me know what you think of these names. I know ultimately we'll have to make the decision but it doesn't hurt to have some other opinions. One thing about Josiah is I wouldn't want people to call him joe or joseph or jose or something like that. With Elijah, we might would call him Eli. Mark really likes that but I just don't know.

Well, my pregnancy is going pretty well right now other than some pelvic pain I'm having. This happened later on with Wesley so I'm having it earlier this time. I just have a lot of lower pelvis pressure and when I do more walking than I should, it radiates down my thighs and makes it difficult to do alot of walking, which is frustrating b/c I love to take walks but really can't right now. I got one of those maternity belts and I wear it only around the house b/c it sticks out under my clothes. You may see me in one of those scooters in a few months :)

Here are some recent pics of Wesley.

This is of Wesley sitting on the kitchen counter at home eating strawberries. He loves any kind of fruit.

This is Wesley and Ms. Mavis from church. Every once in a while Wesley and I will go visit Ms. Mavis at her house. She is a real sweet lady who loves kids and has toys Wesley can play with b/c she has ALOT of grandkids and great grandkids.

It's a boy

We found out today that it's a boy. We are happy and excited and now Wesley will have a playmate, & we can use Wesley's old clothes and toys. Now we have to decide on a name b/c we want to start calling him by his name so Wesley can get use to it. He weighed 12oz. and everything looked good. I am just thankful to the Lord that everything looked good.

PIctures from previous post

This is a picture of where we had the baptismal at. It was nice weather, other than the fact that their were mosquitoes out in April!

This is "Mrs. Vicki" taking Wesley into the water. He loved it.

This is Mark baptizing Hannah. The water was pretty cold.

Big Boy Bed!

Well, Wesley has slept in his big boy bed for 5 nights now. The first night, he didn't sleep in it. He kept getting out and at that time, we still had his crib in there too just in case. We told him if he kept getting out he would sleep in his baby crib. It was now about 9 to 9:30 which is late for him. So, we ended up putting him in his crib and he went right to sleep after about 3 minutes of crying. The next night he slept in it with no problems and has ever since. We took the crib out and it is in pieces right now b/c we couldn't get it through the door without doing that. He even locked himself in his room and I couldn't figure out how to unlock it, which I have done before, so Mark had to come home and unlock it.

Sunday night we had a baptism down at a creek. I guess it was a creek and not a river. Anyway, 2 kids got baptized. It was Wesley's first time seeing that even though most of the time he just wanted to throw rocks in the water. But, he did watch his daddy baptize them and was probably wondering what he was doing.

My apt. is friday when we find out if its a boy or a girl. I will post when I found out. I already feel huge. I can't imagine getting bigger. They say you show earlier your 2nd time and I think I am. I'm halfway there at almost 20 weeks.
